I've been wishlistin'.

I know it was literally just the holiday season which is when, you know, it's slightly more appropriate to put wishlist type posts out into the ether. But, you know, rolling my own way I guess.
I've tried a lot of different makeup brands (it's kind of my job) but there are always sleeper favorites that just need their own time to shine. I've been using these three products from these three brands for a while now. And, now I'm ready to dig deeper.
Okay, okay. I'm well aware that I had more than a little obsession with the Tarte blush in Natural Beauty for a long while. But that was a good, two-ish years ago now? My love for that blush fell to the wayside and I basically forgot about Tarte. I'm sorry, Tarte. But, this Christmas saw me receive the Tarte X Grav3yard Girl palette. And it is just a beaute, my friends.
I've been using the included highlight pretty much everyday because it's actually perfect. The bright color, the warm-ish tone, the little glitter flecks? I'm all about it. And the eye shadows are really good too! I hadn't used any eyeshadows from Tarte ever before and I'm glad they are actually really great.
So, now that it's the new year and I've been binging on beauty videos, I've got myself a little Tarte wishlist brewing in my head. Everyone seems to love the Shape Tape Concealer. The Rainforest Of The Sea line, despite having the longest, most nonsense name of all time looks pretty promising too.
This lil brand is actually really great. I received a couple of bits and bobs from Beauty Bakerie when I was working on this copper makeup article. What really stood out to me though? The lip whip. Holy goodness gracious, these guys go on and STAY on. Because the whole theme was copper, they sent me a copper lip whip, makes sense obvs. But, the tone isn't something I'd wear on a normal day.
Instead I'm lookin' at you, lip whips in Syrupticious, for something light and Raspberry Tiramisu for something a little more vampy. I literally, just can not get over how well lip whips wear. I knew about them peripherally but never really wanted to throw down any money on it. Now I'm thinking a lip whip may very well be my wedding lipstick? We shall see.
They also have some bomb looking cream eyeshadows that I'd love to try. If they stay on half as well as the lip whips, I'm sold.
Oh Kevyn. I've been using and loving the *Kevyn Aucoin The Neo Bronzer for the last few months and now I'm dizzy to try other bits from the brand. Like the quality of the powder in the Neo Bronzer is so good, I wouldn't believe you if you said something else from the brand wasn't high quality.
I know people go bonkers over the Sculpting Powder, which fair enough is a gorgeous shade for contouring. But I'm more interested in the cooler, more innovative products like the Sensual Skin Enhancer. It was like the OG custom cover drops that everyone is coming out with now. Oh and the Creamy Glow Duo looks ace as well. It looks kind of like something that may get gross after a while (like all cream palettes) but it'd be gorgeous while it lasted.
