Best Of Hair & Skincare 2016: Get Through 2017 With Good Hair, At Least
*This post contains PR samples and affiliate links.
Here we go! Round two: hair and skincare. Because if I put this and my makeup favorites from 2016 together it would be a solid half hour long.
As I did in my post on my makeup favorites, I'm basically just going to link you up to all the pretty products and reviews I've got hanging around for you. For all the details, you can check out the video version of my 2016 favorites at the end of the page.
Best of Hair
I'm still on my hair journey to getting my hair to be it's best version of itself. Basically I just want it to be voluminous but not annoying, smooth with no flyaways, and healthy all at times. It's a lot to ask of basically just some dead cells. Anyway here's what I've loved in my quest to make my hair better-ish.
The *GHD Copper Gold Flat Iron is what little flat iron dreams are made of, it is just that good. *Bumble & Bumble BB Straight Shampoo and it's loving companion *Bumble & Bumble BB Straight Conditioner help to make my hair clean but not poofy, bless. *Oribe Apres Beach Wave & Shine Spray is my favorite wave spray right now, see how I use it for making no-heat waves. When I actually go outside I use the *Suave Luxe Style Infusion Anti-Humidity Hairspray to keep my hair from exploding in the NOLA humidity. On smooth hair days I like to use serums like the L'Oreal Smooth Intense Frizz Taming Serum. And finally, my dry shampoo of choice, Bumble & Bumble Pret A Powder.
Best of Body
The least loved category is for body-related products which sounds weirdly bad but no worries as these guys are actually super duper great. The *Vita Liberata Self Tan Dry Oil is perfect for people who want a little glow (ME) or want to layer and layer it up for a deep tan. And for moisturizing my not tan body I've loved the *Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner right down to the very last drop.
Best of Skincare
My skincare game has totally changed in 2016. It went from an ok, not totally terrible basic routine, to a fully fledged 10 step korean skincare routine. Every little baby I use is as follows:
Banila Co Clean It Zero Radiance for makeup removal. *Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm for the ultra luxury cleansing balm (Omorovicza review). Neogen Real Fresh Foam Cereal for quickie foamy washes. *Foreo Luna 2 Sensitive Skin for making that foamy wash for better. *Belif Aqua Bomb Face Mask and My Beauty Diary Hyaluronic Acid Face Mask to hydrate my face because apparently I need it (MBD mask review) (More recent face hydration routine).*Pixi Glow Tonic for getting my cells turning over and glow on fleek (Glow tonic vs. Nip+Fab exfoliators). *Arbonne RE9 Advanced Lifting and Contouring Eye Cream and Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel for moisturizing my face.
