Best Of Makeup : Basically The Only Good Things To Happen in 2016
*This post includes affiliate links and PR samples.
Well folks, I've finally gotten around to editing my 2016 favorites! And there were so flipping many of them I had to split it into two videos or it would have been a solid half hour long. Right, so, first things first: the makeup. OOOh baby.
I probably should have saved the best for last but I just love these little guys so darn much I had to do them first. You can watch the whole favorites video at the end of this post. I've also linked up all these pretties for you, and every review I've got because I'm DEDICATED. That's right. Here goes:
The Best Of Base
Foundation of choice should be of no surprise: Covergirl Clean Sensitive Foundation (Covergirl foundation review). It's dewy, perfect skin in a bottle. For concealing what needs concealin' I've picked a dark horse, the *Stowaway Cosmetics Creaseless Concealer. The price for product is way steep but I can't deny that it's the only concealer I've been reaching towards.
Lest we forget the tools for applying the base: *Sigma 3DHD Kabuki, *Sigma Precision Flat Angle, *Sigma Soft Blend Concealer, and of course the *Real Techniques Miracle Diamond Sponge. All champs in my book.
The Best Of Eyes
For all my winking and blinking, I've only got a couple of eye-related favorites. Given how much eye makeup I've worn I'm actually pretty surprised with me.
Anyway. Starting off strong with the *Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows, with Legend coming in as the frontrunner. To apply said eyeshadows (or, really just stubborn mattes) there is the NYX Glitter Primer, you're the real hero here. You can see what a massive difference this primer makes, here.
Then for liner I've got two boos, the H&M Aqua Liquid Liner (babe) and *Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liner. These guys had me flicking with ease the last few months. Both are great options for beginners to liquid liner, depending on your price range.
The Best Of Lips
Ok. So I still managed to save the best for last somehow. Seeing as it was 2016, having six lip product favorites just seems fitting, right?
For my hydrating favorites I've picked the *Lipstick Queen Queen Bee Lip Treatment and the *Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors. And heck, let's throw in the *Clarins Joli Rouge Lipsticks too, because they're pretty hydrating too (Clarins Lipstick review).
For luxe lippies that have all the pigment you could want there is the *Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipsticks (Smashbox review). And who could forget the *Oribe Lip Lust in The Violet (Oribe lipstick review). I wore these babies all summer and fall and I still love 'em.
Last but obviously not least I've included the *YSL Tint In Oil. It's my go-to I don't know what lip to wear lip.
