Most days when I'm sitting in my office (couch) tapping away at my keyboard and setting up phone reminders to do things like "drink water" and "move legs", I don't go for the bold lip. Bold lips always make me feel good, you know? But they aren't necessarily the most practical and somehow always magically end up on my chin (?) which is less than cute when answering the door to sign for mail.
So for my regular day to day I've been wearing a couple of different light, sheer, lip options. They are a little wash of color, (mostly) hydrating, and just add that touch to bring my whole look together.
*YSL Tint In Oil is actually more like a very light lip stain and I am here for it. Because it's a lip oil, its very thin and slippy when you put it on. The whackadoo lip applicator makes it easy to get the product where you actually want it because there is nothing worse than getting a lip stain somewhere that isn't your lips. The moisturizing feeling of this guy does go away as the gloss fades (so after an hour or two depending on how much I've been snacking) but it leaves the stain so you can always top up with a clear gloss or chapstick or something. I have the shade #6 that is my go-to for most days because it's like my lips but a bit darker and pinker which I love.
I know I'm a bit of a Clarins fan girl but its for a good reason. Every single thing I've tried from the brand just plain old works. The *Clarins Joli Rouge Lipsticks are a thin, gel like lipstick that adds a light wash of color. *Rose Blossom (#25) has been my go-to lately because it's just a smidge darker and pinker than that YSL stain. It says I'm a competent working adult who has tea but also needs their lips kissably soft.
When my lips are in need of some TLC I always turn to the *Lipstick Queen Queen Bee Lip Treatment. This is one of my favorite lip hydrators because it smells amazing, it leaves a pretty bronzy golden shine, and it makes my lips so soft and comfortable. I keep getting this annoying tight lip thing going on after wearing a matte lip, which I guess is pretty normal, but it's annoying. After applying this lip treatment I'm always good to go.
What is your favorite sheer lip?
