A Mini Korean Skin Care Haul
So you can live vicariously through my shopping.
So I've been scrolling through the archives of my blog and Youtube and it looks like the last time I did a haul was about TWO YEARS AGO. Wowee. Although I guess that makes sense, I don't ever really buy a whole lot of stuff all at once and when I do it's toilet paper or maybe socks.
Ya'll let me know if you ever want a sock haul because I'm sure I'll have one soon.
But I've actually made a purchase with my very own hard earned money of four whole things so I thought I'd give you a little looksie at what I picked up. Actually, I really only bought one thing a kit (this kit! from Soko Glam) but it came with four full sized products so it still counts... right?
Regardless. It looks like we can split up this haul into two parts, the cleansers and the moisturizers. Now let me prep you real quick. This is kind of like a tiny mini baby review of these products. I don't want to totally repeat what I've said in the video, you know? I've only been using them for about a week now so no totally firm judgements. But I promise I'll get back to you in like a month or so to let you know how I get on with these guys with a full, in depth review. Let's continue shall we?
The kit came with two beautiful little cleansers. First is Banila Co Clean It Zero in Radiance. This shiz is the bomb for taking off stubborn eye makeup. Like I said in the video version of this haul, this reminds me a lot of the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm that used to be my all time forever favorite. Cleansing balms feel so good, especially when the winter weather strikes so I'm pumped to have this in my collection.
It also came with an infused foaming cleanser, Neogen Cereal Real Fresh Foam. This stuff is pretty cool. You can kind of see in the photo there are these little grains in the bottom that infuse the cleanser with ... cereal? I guess it's to make it more soothing. I saw Rachel Nguyen use the green tea version of this ages ago and I was so intrigued. What's the point of the infusion? I'm still working on it but this is a nice, gentle, foaming cleanser nonetheless.
The first guy isn't a moisturizer in the traditional sense. It's an essence (still kind of figuring out what that means). Anyway, it's the Missha The First Treatment Essence Mist. Reviews say this is the bomb dot com but I'm still on the fence. I've been using it every day, morning and night with my skincare routine, but I can't say for sure that it makes a difference. People who are korean skin care devotees please let me know what's up with essence! I'm just going to go with it's a hydrating face mist for the time being.
Also, probably my favorite thing (maybe tied with Clean It Zero?) is the Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel. OMG you guys. This gel moisturizer is so great. It really is soothing. Because we're heading into holiday season and I'm preparing to hibernate I've been eating not so healthfully lately. Normally that would mean extra oily skin and inflamed lil spots but my skin is actually looking pretty clear. I think this moisturizer is the ticket and I'm all about it.
